Ive been reading up on baiting stratagies for this time of year and pellets in PVA bags seems to be the way to go. I was at Wellesbourne market today and I got a load of fishy type pellets for really cheap and some big pva bags (the solid ones) to use. They are easy to fill and ive got five big ones about the size of an orange ready to use when I next go, do I just chuck them out after ive cast my lead in I think that the hook might rip out of the side of the bag when I cast. Whats the easiest way? There are so many different options in the mags.

Best bet with a solid PVA bag is to have the hook and short hair rig with the lead in the bag its self with the pellets. When the bag melts it leaves a nice little pile of bait with your bait in the middle of it. ;)

Checkbook and pen......again!!!!

Or ready tie them and then hook them just under the knot of the bag. You wont get accuracy or the distance but for short work or mrgin fishing it does the job alright. <!-- s:idea: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_idea.gif" alt="" title="Idea" /><!-- s:idea: --> Presentation wise though Gavs way is much better. ;)

Another idea is get some big PVA mesh tubing. Have a look at this from another topic[url:1rscmqpe]http&#58;//cgi&#46;ebay&#46;co&#46;uk/PVA-MESH-38mm-Tube-OFFER-15-20-Metres-Make-PVA-BAGS-/280580380336?pt=UK_SportingGoods_FishingAcces_RL&amp;hash=item4153e4d6b0[/url:1rscmqpe]

You can make walnut or tangerine sized bags, hook the mesh easily without the worry of the bag ripping when casting.

Been using pva mesh, but low oil content pellets, high oil pellets soak into the mesh, and make the pva break down much slower in the cold water. but still put the odd 3 bait stringer out as well.... ;)
