Gav why don't you try using a smaller hook bait similar looking to your particles <!-- s8-) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cool.gif" alt="8-)" title="Cool" /><!-- s8-) -->

i agree with torty there ;)
If you get on the smaller baits that might work <!-- s8-) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cool.gif" alt="8-)" title="Cool" /><!-- s8-) -->

also try shorter hooklinks as the fish would be feeding more in a concentrated area ;)

You can also get fake hemp and margots, something else to think about ;)

Carp do get pre occupied for example if you put a bed of hemp or pellet down to draw them in and maybe put only a few boilies in and then fish a boilie over the top then 9 times out of 10 they will eat the hookbait last as most times its one of the only things left and sometimes they wont touch it wanting more pellet or hemp. You could try mixing hemp with cheap tins of sweetcorn or pellet with this, chop boilies up and put this these in the mix with a few whole boilies this way you can get away with with using a boilies as hookbait but then when i am fishing in this way i top it off with fake pop up maize. If you dont want to use boilies you could put the sweetcorn on the hair and top it off with the fake maize to hold the corn on the hair. I hope this helps with a few ideas. ;)

Cracking ideas lads and i thought this was the case as i was being quite shy on the boilies. Will put this information to practice when next on the banks.......

Well, it doesn't feel right to me, either. The rope solution did not work. Engine is way to heavy. Maybe I need to go to the gym first ; )
