AUGUST CATCH RESULTS

Hi again everyone hope you are all getting on the bank . I have just returned from a 2 day session on the northants syndicate lake and managed to winkle out a 28lb common at 10pm friday night, its all coming together nicely as nothin had been out since i had last been there and had the big mirror <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: -->. One fish a session will do me as they are not at all easy to catch. Pictures will be posted soon but am having trouble with my laptop.

Went up brickyard on sunday at 8.50 and fished for 10 mins on the top had a 6 and a 2lb common.
Went up yesterday still on the quest for &quot;dark shadow&quot; and had 14 commons up to 7lb and 7 roach on dog biscuits. Dark Shadow took my bait at one point but was too trigger happy and struck too early and spooked him off for the rest of the day. Gutted <!-- s:twisted: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_twisted.gif" alt="" title="Twisted Evil" /><!-- s:twisted: -->

Went up the brickyard again for another crack at dark shadow. Got up there about half 1 after it had stop raining and the conditions wwere perfect for fishing on the top with no wind at all. Set up in the middle of the big pool and started feeding dog biscuits. After 10 minutes the grassie started feeding. I waited another half hour til it was feeding confidently then flicked out a single chum mixer infront of its nose on a size 10 barbless hook because i had run out of barbed size 10. Boom he had it straight away and 10 minutes later landed this 18lb 4oz beauty! Loving it loads!

Banged out another 7 or 8 out up to 7lb in the next couple of hours and had a word with the baliff who says he got 2 or 3 in there and that on is the biggest. It wernt the same fish that i have seen when Pedro and Troty have had one out 2 and 3 years ago.

Gav you legend. That is a beauty defiantly different to the one me and pedro had alot bigger aswell and a ligher stomach from the looks of things. Fair play pal but now i need a new target fish lol

Done 24 hours with Dangeruzz at Dog Lane on monday night. Only had a 2lb ghostie/koi off the top yesterday afternoon. Russ had a couple of runs but no fish and so did i. Very dissappointing night only thing we can think off why we didnt bag a few was it got hammered and was full on saturday night so we think there was food here there and everywhere on what is a very small lake to cram alot of people on. Also one of the big carp has died and was floating in the reeds which is always a shame and so far no one has managed to bag any of the catfish up there yet according to the baliff.

Hello boys how are you all, well done gav with the fish you have been catching nice one <!-- s8-) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cool.gif" alt="" title="Cool" /><!-- s8-) --> . I have just returned from a 2 day session at Duncan Kays old Mid Northants lake which used to be a very famous lake fished by many of the top names in carp fishing, Kevin Maddocks fished their and wrote about it in carp fever also it is in Terry Hearns newer book as a trip to northants. I managed to winkle out one of the originals a stunning common of 29lb from once again under my rod tips as most of my fish this year. It was the smallest carp of seven that i had feeding over the 2 days. These carp have seen everything and i had to think of a completely different set-up to catch it as they just take the p**s out of normal set-ups and will eat the freebies and spit out the hookbait and carry on as nothing as happened.

Done 24 hours on the match lake at Bishop Bowls on tuesday night with Pedro. Managed 4 fish of 8lb common, 9lb mirror, 11lb 4oz common , 14lb fully scaled shown below. Had 11 runs between us that resulted in pedro gettin snapped and a 1lb bream that i had. The 2 mirrors were off the top in the L shaped pool. Cracking looking fish tho
