Ello all, just hoping for the odd decent tip, & if poss some upto date info, basically I used to carp fish waters around Whitney Oxfordshire, then after moving 2yrs ago I I have only been on the bank twice, however wen the weather improves this is guna change as its time to go carpin again. Having sold my rods, reels, & alarms these need replacing, I intend mainly to concentrate on TC pit on Oxford bypass do would love any info on this pit, ie has anyone taken over the lease? or do u still "guest" it?? with no probs, if anyone fishes it some pointers would b appreciated greatly.Having fished it ive seen some of its stock (while walking the bank's) which I would love to catch, does anyone no wat the bream & tench stock is? as due to being skint would like to try particles & bollies so ill have options on hook bait etc. Any help or tips would be so helpful & appriciatted,

Moved to right section mate but accidently left a shadow topic in the other section.:oops:
Anyway i dont know the water but can give a bit of advice on the particle front. Get on the pigeon conditioner. Cheap at around £11-13 for 25 kilos. Easy to prepare, soak in water for at least 24 hours. Keep the Carp searching, they will keep returning to your swim looking for it all session once they know its there.
Pre-baiting if possible with it is a good idea to. Just add a handful of your chosen boilies in with it each time to get them feeding on them to.
Let us know how you get on pal. ;)

Checkbook and pen......again!!!!

With the weather and the water starting to warm up now is the perfect time to get walking the banks as much as possible without your fishing tackle and try to work out where the carp are in the lake at different times of the day in different weathers. I would do this before prebaiting just so you know the carp get on it. ;)

Good bit of advice that Ben. <!-- s:ugeek: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_ugeek.gif" alt=":ugeek:" title="Uber Geek" /><!-- s:ugeek: -->
If there is a large stock of Bream and Tench in there then using particles is going to attract them into anywhere in the lake and once these fish find the food source it wont be long until the Carp do.

Cheers for replys lads, pigeon conditioner sounds like a nice cheap way of baiting increasing the bollies as I go, im hoping there's only a few snoty bream as really want the carp as theres some real lumps in there with my name on!! Ik thinking of gettin a small boat so I can see exactly wots goin on under the surface, &amp; makin baiting up easyer, &amp; alot easyer for placing rigs etc. Thinking Easter could b a good time to start fishing there as will ave warmed up by then, going to try florocarbon main line &amp; strong simple rigs as there r some real lumps in it, will keep u posted, thanks again boy's
