Spawning Question

Should lakes close while the Carp spawn? Should it be law or should it be down to the owner/baliff? Answers please!

Personally I think owners should close their lakes for a couple of weeks to protect their stock from the extra stress of anglers. I found out today that an idiot netted a spawning carp yesterday at the mitre pool

had to postpone my trip to belgium for two weeks for the same,cost the ferry price no matter just later

Once they have started give them a week to recover so close the lake. Fish safety should always be number 1 priority!

think the carp should be left alone but if there are other species in the lake that people want to fish for then the owner should make the choice really. i wouldnt bother if the fish are spawning and now i worried about fishing tomorrow if the carp are still at it.
