yep

It couldnt be simpler. Just pierce a rubber bead sideways with a fine baiting needle and slide it onto your main line followed by a swivel and another sideways bead then tie your lead on to the end and attach a rig to the swivel.

can be fished with a pop up or a bottom bait, and there are no worries about leaders tangling or leadcore kinking and tethering a fish if your mainline breaks.

what ever you do.. DONT DO THE ABOVE IF YOU HAVE A LEADER OR ANY KNOT ABOVE THE BEADS AND THEY WILL NOT PASS OVER A SIDEWAYS PUNCHERED BEAD..

i posted a warning as most people i know fish this with a flurocarbon leader .. so if you side puncher the bead it dont go over the leader knot.. maybe the avid chod bead i better for this job..

[i:1mrhh4yx]avid chod bead [/i:1mrhh4yx]

The avidcarp DVD that was in the tackle shops was where i first saw the naked chod. Shown by using florocarbon line straight through and avidcarp chod beads by Ian Mcmallian (if thats how you spell his name lol). Also same clip was shown on Extreme Carp TV show earlier in the year. Perfectly safe set up. :P

i use a naked chod everytime..catched more fish on it than any other of my rig set ups .. i must admit i use tigerline fluro mainline so i also puncher the side of the top bead.. but if im fishing at range i add a leader as im always cracking off..then the chod bead works wonders..

then if you are using a leader of any type then it isnt a naked chod. You are quite right to suggest a different set up for use with leaders :D , whatever rigs we all use, they should be as safe as we can make them.
