Fished here alot over last 2 years. Had carp upto 16oddlb but never ever caught a common out of there. Hear they are in there but very rare. Fishing is hard in the day at the moment unless you cast a long distance towards the middle of the lake but evenings and night when lake is quieter they get on it and have it. £25 for the night but if you do it get ready for no sleep <!-- s:shock: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_eek.gif" alt="" title="Shocked" /><!-- s:shock: --> Best to get your kip in the day. Hopefully will be up there in next few weeks so will let you all know how well i do.

Latest on Drayton is that the water level is very low so its adviced that you bring wellies with you. Best pegs are on the boards and its fishing very well atm.

Theres also a match on the last sunday of evry monthfrom 7am to 5pm. The biggest carp is the winner of the match not the biggest weight of fish. £25 per person and its a 1 rod event. You need to contact the baliff Mark by the last friday of the month if your interested.

Water levels have risen now and carp on their autumn munch out. Fish to 22lb something baliff said yesterday in last week. Most carp coming out after dark and over heavy beds of bait so they can get their heads down.

Single bright pop-ups at long range off the point or the dam wall seem to have done the damage this weekend along with small bags of pellet and a bottom bait again at range. Water is rising but not back upto what is was.

Anything goes up there mate. Theres so many carp in there its hard not to catch in the warmer months of the year. You should bag some no problem. ;)

Alot of carp in there and i mean alot.
Only fished it twice last year and both times were different. First time was in May and it was utter mayhem. Could loads, lost a few and back was caining by the end of it. Fished the method feeder off peg 88 and had one hell of a day.
Second time was very different and in July. Ended up moving peg cause couldnt get a touch in the evening. Managed 2 and lost 1 in the last hour fishing the margins. Seems the carp where out at range during the day and coming to the margins as the lake starts to quiten down a bit in the late evening.
Most things and methods will get you a run or 2 but finding the fish can be very important.
