Milton Pools near Oxford

Having a really boring morning at work so talking fishing with a couple of the lads. One of them has mentioned this place as he loves it. He has only fished it a few times in 2010 but rates it highly. I am finding it hard to find anything on it so does anyone know this fishery? Isnt it next to the M40? overfished,over priced, a lot of the bigger fish died or taken out, don't waste your money

I went there once. I had a chat with some guys in the shop and the lad behind the counter sold me a ticket for the specimen lake so I was a bit miffed when I got there to find that the only 4 pegs that didnt have anglers in them were reserved for anglers later in the evening and were not allowed to be fished. I went back to the shop and asked the lad if he knew the pegs were all stiched up and to my amazement he said &quot;yes&quot; and I would have to either fish one of the other lakes on the complex or sit and wait for someone to go. I asked for a refund and left.

Went there in 2007. Got there the baliff sold me a ticket and asked if i needed any bait. Said i was alright and headed to the lake. Was rammed with not alot of fishing room between anglers. Thought balls to it have come all this way will give it a go. Set-up and started fishing. A few hours later the baliff comes for a walk round. &quot;what you using?&quot; he asks, told him and he replied &quot;you wont catch on anything in here apart from Christmas Cracker boilies, i got some in the freezer if you want to buy a pack&quot;. Told him not to worry about it. Saw a couple of carp come out but both under 10lb. Left at the end of the day after blanking and went back into the shop to see the baliff and say bye. Had another small chat and a quick look in the freezer to find that there were loads of Christmas Cracker boilies and a couple of other packs of different boilies. Suspicious i thought, the only reason he telling me they the only thing that catches is because he needs to empty his freezer out to get in more stock. Tackle in shop was overpriced as well. Will never go back as like my room when fishing without the danger of someone setting up and casting over my lines.
Might be worth sending Medley or Beeski a pm. They done 48 hours there i think it was the year after but dont think they caught and the lake was rammed and not alot caught by others.
Its next door to the M40 as well and i mean its about 50 yards away from the specimen lake and the traffic on there will be all you hear the whole time you are there.
Linear is just down the road to so would go there if i were you.

Thanks for the rapid responses guys. Dont think i will be wasting my time there then. Will tell the lad at work about these posts as well. 3 different members all with bad feedback on the place means that it cant be worth bothering with.
Will send Medley and Beeski a pm but have they been back since their last visit?

Medley hasnt as far as i know. But he been in Egypt for last 14 months.

Have sent them both a pm so hopefully get some more feedback although it does look like its going to be negative like all the rest of it lol.
