Fished for 3 hours in the pouring rain yesterday at Stockton Resse. Fishing peg 42 i managed to get the Bivvy set-up before the heavens opened. At around 11am i had a run and after 5 minutes the hook pulled and i got soaked for nothing. In a bad mood decided to call it a day before having to pay. <!-- s:cry: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cry.gif" alt="

6 hours on peg 43 at Stockton Resse resulted in 1 run, struck into nothing and foul hooked another on a retrieve for a recast. Didnt even see a carp top today but back in january and feburary they were at least given themselves away and giving me somewhere to cast to. 2 carp caught while i was there but 2 out of the 5 anglers i could see.
Only bonus of the day was got a nice spring view from a swim photo. See General Discussion section.

one of the chaps i talk to up ryton goes fishing on the canal alot up your way. Him and a mate have caught the same 18lb pike from somewhere called "bascote pound" dunno if you know it. But may be worth a chuck if you do as i'd imagine that pike would go 20 with a winter belly by feb time.
