Gavfish v Budweed 2011

Bud and i done the night after a half price offer that we couldnt refuse to give it a go. Stockton Resse was the venue, peg 56 and 57 were the pegs. Managed a few between us. I had 15 and lost 5 upto this 12lb 6oz mirror.

Bud managed to bag 5 including a 1lb Crucian upto 9lb 3oz and lost 3 or 4. Will post crucian pic in micro specimens bit in the catch reports section.
I was fishing 1 rod in the margins and one at about 40 yards to a hard spot over a bed of pigeon conditioner and the usual Weston Baits pop-up corn boilies. Most fish came from the hard spot. Fished 6.30pm until 1.30pm today. Couldnt get a touch after 10 am though when others on the lake were catching.

Done a few hours at Drayton tonight. Started on the dam wall but the wind was playing havoc and the direction was all wrong. After i had a 10lber we moved round to the sailing club. Calmer water and wind on our back we had them hoovering up the chum mixer but not getting on our hook baits. Managed another 2 around 10lb then gave up.
Im still winning so far.
