You will be able to catch all the types of carp except Crucian fishing the same methods. With Crucians i would scale down the tackle to 4lb line and hooks no bigger than size 16. Look around for a lake with a good head of Crucians in there as then fishing baits like sweetcorn you wont get pestered so much by nuisance fish like Skimmer Bream and Roach. If you can borrow a pole as well the perfect presentation of the bait can be made. Oh and dont go without any bread.

There are carp in rivers but its harder fishing than in lakes. Learn what you can from lakes before moving to river fishing mate.

Never tried it but from what i have read and seen on TV location is the even more important than on lakes and prebaiting is uber important.

Same sort of rules really. Theres no point in prebaiting somewhere theres no carp. Had a few over the years and so has craigdavid and fazza on here. Look through the gallerys and craig has a couple out the canal i think in his. And you never know what your going to catch in there either. Craig and i have both ahd the same Barbel from the canal.
