a quick question on what tackle shops everyone uses or do you us on-line shops? reason im askin is that there is such a variation in prices in different shops and im lookin for the cheapest. for example in one shop a rod is £89.99 but ive seen it in another shop at only £74.99. <!-- s:o --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_surprised.gif" alt="

To be honest i do 99% of my shopping for tackle on-line now as it saves £££ on fuel and often its cheaper than the shops. There is a huge difference in prices in tackle shops though. Last time i went to Banks and Burr i got a pack of ESP curve shank hooks for £3.85 but when went into Lanes in Coventry a month or so later the same said hooks were £4.25. The companys send there tackle to the shops with a RRP and i think its upto the shops to decide on what price they are going to sell them at.
Checkbook and pen......again!!!!

Best thing to do is shop around mate until you find the cheapest deal. Tackle shops that are close to each other have competitive competition show it should bring down their prices. On-line shops you have to pay the postage for it to get sent to you. Only thing that tackle shops have that on-line shops dont is information on your local waters so its always worth popping in there for the odd bits and pieces.
