that be cool..iv done a bit on hops over the last few years only short sessions, but had a few nice fish to 19lb

went for a day session today, got there about 8ish no surprise to see loads of bivvies think most swims full...
not a problem just jump on the first swim that targets the reeds and snags, as there was no lines in this area. meet the lady that came for the money, she was very nice and helpful with info.
Now i know its a small lake and don't take many to fill it but what happened next was just a joke and is the reason why sometimes fisheries get bad press..

There was a group of three bivves on the field bank fishing the island..id been baited up and in for about an hr, when one of the lads picks up his stick walks 30yards down the bank so he is now facing me.
my baits were fishing just off the far bank of reed "rods pointing at them" he looks at me then cast one of his rod straight over onto my rig!!!!!! i was in shock then his second rod he fires it direct at me.
no joke it landed 1ft from my rod.......i couldn't believe what i had just seen he then pops them on the buzzers and f**K of 50 yards to jolly with his mates.. i was home by 12 lol
nice little water though just don't go wkends lol

He proberly hadnt caught all night which is why he was moving. lol yep you do get them around,,,i don't wish to label all inexperienced capers im all for new people to the sport and youngsters stating out ..but you can just tell the type!!

put it this way if id closed my eyes this around 8.30am apart from the freezing cold i would have imagined i was in amsterdam if you get what i mean

Those 3 lads were on the left hand bank (looking down the lake from car park) when I was there, they arrived Friday night and made loads of noise!

I left sat at midday as Friday nights weather was harsh

Get the same trouble at Drayton. Get there early morning set-up and start fishing, by mid afternoon a group of wannabe battle mc's (chavs) turn up. Nice looking carp mate well done. Looking like all carp seem to atm from the cold winter of being very skinny. Both could be a couple of pounds bigger in the summer.
