There has been some talk on here about Carp from Canals. Do the canals around here have Carp in them? Are the Carp escapees from lakes when the floods happened a few years ago? Whats the best canals to try?

Long Itchington GUC hold them in there. ;) Napton on the Oxford and GUC where they meet holds some. ;)
Also Hatton Locks near Warwick.
Best bet is to walk the banks in the evenings as much as possible searching for signs of fish and once found them start pre-baiting for a week or so. Then fish with backleads so line dont get caught by boats. :D

Checkbook and pen......again!!!!

You wont see much untill june / july. Move up towards the bottom lock around spawning time - september maybe is when i normally sight them. Picture in my gallery of a 14lb one i had off the top, which was the smallest of a group of 3, the biggest being a very dark common, and the middle being a ghostie all 3 quite often seen together. My friend had a 33lb fully scaled, which sadly died last winter but that stretch has been known to throw up the up surprise. Alot of zander too :P

Through my own experience on canals near me over the years early spring and late autumn the best time to have a few out. In spring the water has warmed a bit and before the canal gets busy with boats and water churns up look for areas of coloured water. Caused by carp or bream. These areas are good pre-baiting spots and dont be disheartened by catching a few Bream as there are loads in there but the carp wont be far behind them. ;)

Yeah i heard about this from Rich griffiths at the black country carpers show he was telling me about it and that he had set up an online petition to hopefully stop any more being removed and to stop it from happening on other canals so please log on and help protect our canals ;) http://www.petition.co.uk/to-stop-the-d ... uk-canals-
