there many pike in there fella? I've chucked a lure around before with no luck but never thought about seriously dead baiting it.

Theres a few in there but dont know to what size. Had a go a few times with lures before but never done any good but my mate had a 7lber on 1.
£5 for a day ticket and only £28 for a season ticket but dont think this includes nights.

if you're heading up after the pike when the ice dies down Gav let us know.

Will do mate, maybe the first lake fishable after the bad weather if the birdlife keeps a bit clear of ice.

Alright lads long time time no see.I know its a bit late in the year now but the pike fishing has died right off up the ress.One lad had a 19lb pike in December 2012 off the brige on a spiner and i landed a 20lb 4oz pike the year befor on a chod rig.Diffrent fish though but all in all not as good as it use to be.

Hello matey, chod rigs seem to be pike catching material my friend had one the other week lol. I think i might give it a go next winter up there for a couple of sessions and see how it goes but definately need to find a new pike water.

Has anybody fished this recently, by reading through the posts there doesn't seem to be that many carp in there for the size of the water, any further info on this place would be great, like best areas for carp etc, i have walked around this place loads of times but never cast a line in it, Can i pay for membership on the bank ?

If by the rare chance anybody is interested I went to napton this weekend and i'm told by a regular carper there that theres 25-30 fish in there averaging 20lb which is roughly 1 and a bit fish per acre, and the lucky sod has managed to catch all of them, Gav is that the marina you was on about just behind the resse ?

Am thinking of a few trips up there myself this summer. Main thing with up there from what I know is find them and spend some time walking the banks, not fishing to do it. Bit of prebaiting helps to but the Tufties love a bit of anglers bait.
