dont use them... so cant comment if they are good or bad, have caught on cell waters, using the bait I'm on, so for me I'll stick with what I'm using......

Alot more people use the cell than a less commercial bait. So with more people using them the more carp are gonna be caught on them. Have to admit to buying a bag of 18mm this autumn on a cell water and have had no more success than when using other baits. Not saying they are a bad bait the do seem to catch but theres plenty of more boilies out there to use and once you have found yours its worth sticking with.

Checkbook and pen......again!!!!

It is because they are a relatively new bait ? Lets face it if your being fed pizza everyday and someone offers you a curry then your gonna want it. The bait companies will have a new wonder bait out in time for the summer then the cell will pale into just another boilie.

but is this what is drawing ppl in. they see in magazines the amount of carp being caught on um, carptalk has at least 1 40 in there a week and think that this is what they need to catch. i havent used um have stuck on a boilie that i like (banana crunch) and have caught on these so dont feel i need the change. with all these carp catching on um they cant be bad but will the carp wise upto um on lakes where they are getting piling in by the kgs.

Yes Johnny it is. The power of advertising catches anglers all the time. You mention the carp wising up and then treating the Cell and any other jump on the bandwagon coconuty/creamy type boilie with caution. This is the phenominon known as "blown". I was told once that sweetcorn had blown on a certain lake, I started using sweetcorn blended up and simply poured into the margins straight from the container with a single piece of maize as a hookbait and continued catching (if I could only sit quietly for long enough)

I dont believe any bait will truly blow. As long as the bait has a nutritional value for the carp they will still eat it. Find a boilie flavour or a bait that you have confidence in and when you get fed up with it, gain confidence in something else for a year or two.

I have decided to use CC Moore odyssey xxx this year, I have no confidence in it yet because I havent caught owt on it yet and the damn lakes are frozen still.

Yes they are in my opinion. Used them for a while and cant fault them. Caught alot of carp this year on them and didnt look elsewhere until got a hold of a bag of New Grange and now waiting until i can regularly get hold of them to start a campaign using them in 2011.

If they were rubbish then they wouldnt catch would they

Agreed but eventually in lakes where the cell gets piled into the carp are eventually be very cautious when approaching them because the will think danger when the see them cause they have been hammered on them.
