I was fishing a water many moons ago on what i believed to be a sound bait at the time (caught plenty of fish on it from other venues before) but becaues this lake in question was dominated by a particular fishmeal/robin red bait i couldn't buy a bite. But soon as i got on the bait everyone else was throwing in i started catching pretty much straight away.

but when i say alot of this bait was going in i mean ALOT! i recon that there must of been around 100k plus a week going in that lake over the spring/summer months. The fish/birds lol were having it big time too, you never seen bait floating in the margins.

I think everyone use's a bait that they trust and is proven, Which is why a lot of people use mainline bait in genrel. Don't think they have made 1 bad boilie ever since they have started making baits. Never tried the cell, sound good but I'm more of a fusion man myself!

Mainline Southam production factory me thinks

My last catch was on Cell.. but that is only due to me going on a new syndicate.. i know the other anglers are using cell so its real hard to get them feeding on other baits.. but im putting in my own chosen bait to get them feeding on it.. what i will say about mainline cell is that if the fish are eating it they pile the weight on..

for £9.85 a kg your not really savin any money unless you bulk it out hugely with somethin else which in my opinion wouldnt be the cell.

this is what i was thinking, we all know the cell works, so playing about with this and your own ingredients could be interesting

Ok at that price thats true. Would just buy the boilies as its not worth it once you put cost and the time to make them together. Could be worth starting a topic Good cell base mix recipes to see if anyone has got any ideas Chris.
