pike fishing bug

Hi guys i have really got stuck in to my pike fishing lately but today i had an unbelievable day ,i started the day with a dropped take within minutes of being there then i had a few small perch on a small rubber jig then a pike around 1lb took a liking to the jig and then next cast in with the jig i hooked what i thought was another small pike when to my amazement a big perch came out of the depths and at 2lb 9oz was a pb ,then throughout the the day i had another 6 double figured pike 11lb 4oz , 15lb , 14lb14oz , 10lb 4oz , 13lb 8oz and 12lb 8oz and i had 1 other dropped take ,the weather was absolutely freezing with an easterly wind giving a wind chill factor of about -10 the sling and net after every fish froze to the ground and the jig rod i had to keep freeing the ice from the rings

Seem to be having a problem getting them a decent size unfortunatly but you can see the size of them. Beautiful fish the Pike and a day like that is a dream day.

Thanks for that Gav yeah i had a go at enlarging them but no good i will have to have chat with my mate i think, cus he sent them to me through an e mail so i`m not sure if that had anything to do with it .

I`m still hoping i will get in to a twenty before the spring comes cus there are a few in there

Beauties mate, quality Pike are a rarety.

I agree mate i feel quite lucky that my syndicate has good fish of all species that grow to a specimen size someone recently had a 2lb 11oz roach and another one had a perch three and a quarter pound and a good head of big bream i will be having a go at all of these during the spring so i`m hoping a few more pb`s will be broken this season and sorry forgot to mention the 4 or 5 thirty pound commons ,so as you can see i feel quite privaledge to be a member
