Ideas for spreading the word

Handed a few out down at Drayton this week. Headed up there thursday afternoon and yesterday but not alot of carpers on there more noddys and a couple of lads pike fishing.

How about sending a newsletter to ALL the members on here? There are loads of members who dont post very often that could be encouraged back to full site useage. <!-- s:idea: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_idea.gif" alt="" title="Idea" /><!-- s:idea: -->

Have tried a few recently starting with the most recent members. Not a newsletter as such but just a message to come back and have a look at the site. Not really working so far but should have all the &quot;lost&quot; members sent a pm by end of week.

seems to be working Gav, some new members and visits and posts by old members nice work its gettin bigger and better.

Was sneaky and sent pm's to people on another forum who are midland carpers.
Old members were sent a pm on here and think unfortunatly most have only read the pm but good to see a few old members back using the site.

I will have 5 of the one sfor a couple of quid each Chris if thats sound. Can give a few out to mates even if they dont use the forum alot easy to spread the word with the stickers. Can i pay through paypal?

Gav why dont you get quite a few and dish them out at the social ?

Right then word still seems to be spreading at a slow rate. Have been putting business cards on cars at local fisheries but still seems not too many people joining.
Any other ideas how the word can be spread?
