Never bought any ready made ones, but cost wise it's cheaper to tie your own , there is a bit of outlay with all the bits and pieces but then your good to go .
I only probably use 4 rigs anyway , a good bottom bait rig , balanced/pop up rig , chod , and zig , I just tweak them slightly to suit where I'm fishing , size of fish / bait etc
Plus it something to do while I'm sat in me bivvy catching nowt :D

Its always better to make your own and like natureboy says above you will only need a few different ones. If necessary buy one from the shops or online and use it as an example to base your own on. Better still come along to the social and have a look at what we all use.

Wouldnt bother myself just learn to make your own. Adam_v started a rigs topic off where i explained a simple bottom bait rig as best i could. Will have a search of youtube to see if i can find a video to put on there to help explain it. As been said if you dont want to make your own head to the local tackle shop and buy one made buy a decent company like ESP or Korda where you know that the rig will be decent and you can use it as a guide line to make your own.

Checkbook and pen......again!!!!

Agree with all the others, another vote for tying your own. <!-- s:idea: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_idea.gif" alt=":idea:" title="Idea" /><!-- s:idea: -->

when i started carping i used the ready tied esp ones. i soon learned to tie my own so i could get them the exact length i want them and tweak them slightly to standard ones. the esp readymades were good though just tying your own is much better.
