Ive made myself some lightweight bobbins and Ive adapted some banksticks for use on wooden platforms. Has anyone else made some of their own stuff or adapted/altered/bodged a standard piece of angling kit?

Made my own floats before after being inspired by an old Go Fishing programme with John Wilson. Made them out of quills of feathers but bullrushes were the best to use. Old dead ones in the winter cut them between 2 joints, cover with a few layers of varnish, paint the tip then attach to line using a float rubber.

Cut down the buzz bars on the rod pod, as it looked far to bulky, have also converted wheels to fit a old barrow i owned, have a few things in the back of the mind at the moment, once a bit of free time comes up, i'll be in the workshop, milling and turning.....
