Decent 2 Way Radio was created by Gavfish

Been thinking of getting a set for when doing overnighters with a mate but dont want to spend more than £40.
Any ideas please?

I got a small set from aldi years ago for the very same reason (when I used to take a blind guy fishing) but every time I go fishing with a mate we always bivvie up next to each other anyway so they are not really needed. If I used to go for a wander and he wanted anything (help landing a fish for instance) he would either shout or use his mobile.

Wouldnt bother mate just make sure you and whoever your fishing with have their mobiles and some credit.

Dont think their all they are cracked up to be really mate in seriousness. Wouldnt waste the money especially if your only going to use it a few times a year. If fishing every week on overnighters with a mate then maybe would consider it but just stick with your mobile.

I picked up a rechargable pair with docking station acouple of years ago for £30 from Tesco, worked really well and even had a built in LED torch and different ringtones <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_eek.gif" alt=":shock:" title="Shocked" />

So you can get them, as said though make sure you [i:ftc6esy2]really[/i:ftc6esy2] need them otherwise its a bit of a waste buy. Suppose at lakes etc the areas can be alittle remote anyway and signals not great for mobiles, plus if you have a smart phone like mine it doesnt last a day! Whereas a fully charged 2 way radio will last a week

Good points Chris. Mostly fishing Bishops Bowls and have dodgy mobile signal there in certain pegs. Mostly do nights alone which is why i dont want to spend alot on them because of how much would need/use them. May just have to only fish pegs i got signal. <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="
