Hi peps

I'm looking to get myself a new pair of carp rods and reels preferably 2.75 - 3lb test curve and bait runner reels.
Ive got a budget of around £200 rats (willing to go over tho). Does anyone have any must haves? or recommendations of stores where i can get a cheeky deal going on the purchase. This is what i've seen in my price range which i like the look of and been told bits about.

Rods
Chub outkast 2.75 - 3.lb £ 62.99 each
Nash Pursuit 2.75 - 3lb £69.99 each
Nash Hgun 3.lb (new 2009) £44.99 each

Reels
Shimano Baitrunner Areo 6000 GTE C £77.99
Shimano Baitrunner ST 10000 RA £51.99
Shimano special edition 5000RE £54.99
Daiwa Regal plus BRI 4000 £54.99
Okuma Epix Pro Bait Feeder EPB 50 (LARGER Size) £46.99

Any help will be much appreciated.

Cheers medz yeah i do like the outkast and for the price range it seems there unbeatable. I'm thinking of 3lb rather than 2.75. But i assume you get more feeling when playing a fish with the 2.75? Do you think some
Shimano 10000 GTE-C around £ 89.99 they do look sweet.

Got more power to "punch out PVA bags where it hurts" with 3lb test curve and more power to control the carps runs with it.
Those carp pursuits seem to be alright but dont know anyone thats got them and for the price would go with the outcasts ;)
i had a problen with ine a few years back but just think it was fault but Chub were w*****s about it. My rod snapped but look at this......

Troty,
I have never used or even seen a nash rod in a shop or on the bank which tells me something
I would defo go for 3lb as you can always go that little bit longer on casts and if you need it for PVA bags and method it will help alot to
As for the reels i dont think you can go wrong with shimano, good all round sold reel and would go for 10000's for that extra bit of a cast when you need it

As i have both of these anyway(apart from my reels are xte's) i think it is a well balenced set up which are great all round fishing from pva bag casting to long lange casting and still having a lot of give to play fish

Hope this helps pal ;)
