Bait Boats

Everyone fishes differently, casting is an art but there's nothing wrong with using a bait boat for the edge if they are allowed. Only used one once myself and that was for pike fishing a reservoir, the pike were being caught at range by a bank you weren't allowed to fish and the only way to get a heavy deadbait over there was by bait boat. I think they can be a disadvantage in some cases anyway, especially when they are the usual method on a lake the fish soon wise up to tight clumps of bait.

I agree with jamMa Im going to france in June and they say to get on the far bank it is almost an impossible cast with the overhanging branches and this is where most the fish are caught, so I guess they can be useful but I wouldnt want to use one all the time as casting correctly is still an important part of fishing and should be practised (as they say practise makes perfect).

Im not a 100% against them but what annoys me is when they are misused in 1 of these ways.
1. Used to drive across the other side of the lake and across other anglers lines.
2. On small lakes where every where is within an easy casting distance.
3.Used when they are banned from the lake and a spod or spomb could be used.
