Kingston Pools, Lighthorne Heath

Just been looking around fisheries.co.uk and noticed this has been updated and it states that there are carp in most lakes upto high 20s to 30s <!-- s:o --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_surprised.gif" alt="" title="Surprised" /><!-- s:o --> Havent been up there for a couple of years but never seen anything bigger than 12lb come out. Anyone been up there recently and know the low-down???

This is my local water and I have fished it for about fifteen years on and off. I dont spend time on the first pools &quot;the carp pool&quot; and &quot;the reed pool&quot; tho you will be hard pushed to find a nicer farm pool anywhere it just reeks of carp and has loads and loads of features. My best from this is about 13 lbs and to be fair for a shallow pool avg 3 feet you dont see the bigger carp they are masters of stelth to catch them you need to stalk or keep the noise down as it is a small pond. Most of my fishing is done on &quot;the medow pool&quot; it is a nice easy size and holds some fit carp with loads of commons and no simmos which imho are fugly. I have found bottom fishing towards the island margin works well but has been less productive as the years have passed and the fish are wise. 2009 and 2010 have seen good sport surface fishing and I love it. I had 17 fish in one day around the 18th of June two of which were 11 pounders and the rest around 6 to 8. The bigger fish and the smaller fish stay in split groups in the day and the biggies upto mid twentys (my pb 19 lb)come out around dusk. At least when Im fishing.I have posted a picture of my pb some of the commons are really hump backed and mean looking and I think will continue to grow. Nights are 12 quid for two rods and most baits seem to score I cannot catch on meat however some swear by it. the bream go around 5 pound now and a rougue pair of tench turn up now and again also a lad who fishes a bit swears he had 2 pound crucian. For me the rudd are second choice with some two pounders now. I love to waffle so there you go.

Seen on another forum today someone has post that on the carp pool it is quote "rammed full with Crayfish making fishing on the bottom a joke!"
This person has also stated that fish that the baliff says are in there are not <!-- s:?: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_question.gif" alt=":" title="Question" /><!-- s:?: -->

Had a good look on its page on fisheries.co.uk and the 30lber on the top of the page is very suspicous that it is a 30.
Apoligies if i am wrong it is a big fish but wouldnt call it 30 but it could just be the picture not doing it justice.
