Wellington Country Park

Have been reading on another forum it £1500 for a season ticket there. You can only fish it maximum of 3 days in a row. Last seasons top angler had less than 30 out all year.
Anyone fish/fished the place before and know what its like and if its worth the money to fish it? Plenty of 30's and 40's infront of you but not the nicest looking fish.

By the way im not even considering to get on the waiting list at that price and my wages.

Checkbook and pen......again!!!!

I fished it years ago, was a good tench water, and on a day ticket!!!! did have the odd carp in it back then, which where of a good size then, so if there still there now they would be well worth hunting for, along with the other big fish that live in there...
as for fishing it, normal gravel pit tactics, and from memory the odd silt patch as well, along with some weed, so was never a head banger, but did need a little time to get used to the way the place fished.
as for the price of a ticket, cant say my names on the list, and if it produces a few more big fish, £2000 wont be far away either.

its a real shame its been taken away from the average angler, as it was quite a nice place to fish, and for me, 15 minutes down the road.
