Stockton Reservoir

Headed for a walk round on my split shift from work this afternoon. Matches seem as though they have dried up according to the board only 3 in the last month and judging by there only being 2 anglers on the lake i would say that the amount of anglers fishing the lake during the week has slowed down to.
Going to try and get an afternoon up here next week so can try and get a few bends in the rod before the winter sets in.

Walked the dogs round here this afternoon. Only 1 angler fishing. Had a chat with him and he had caught 3 at distance in the open water using banana pop-ups. No sign of any Carp topping and he said all his carp were on 1 rod with 2 hours of each other in the morning. Biggest only around 8lb but theres a few feeding in there.

Havin a look in a few areas of the local canal today and headed for a quick look here. Around 1/3 of the lake is frozen and with temperatures plummeting tonight there could be a lid on it tomorrow. A heads up for anyone thinking of going in the next few days. 1 angler fishing peg 63 but was on the pole fishing for bits as he put it with breadpunch and maggots.

Anyone thinking of fishing here tomorrow please take heed theres the years 1st 2 matches on and it covers nearly 40 pegs so not alot of choice of swim on the lake.

As from tomorrow the price of a day ticket goes back to summer prices of £6 1 rod, £9 for 2 rods. Just to warn you if you heading the in the morning.
