Fair play pal. Could always add vitalin to it to bulk it out and cloud the water up if its an over wet mix.
Anyone else got any ideas?

Get yourself to Jollyes at the Maybird center in Stratford and have a field day mate. Pellets, hemp, the lot. Cheap as chips!

pigeon conditioner is one of the easiest to prepare mate, in a bucket, soak overnight, job done!
but make sure you get the conditioner without whole maize, or that will want a longer soak, and a boil.
still get on the maize thou, stick it in soak for anywhere up to a week! good squeeze of honey in the soak, then transfer to the boil with the soak water, add some sugar at the cooling stage, and there you have a really sweet maize carp love.
