2011 catch results

Had a muck about up Stockton Resse from 6pm until 8.30 on peg 43. Fished the margins using Weston Baits pineapple corn. After an hour of watching carp tails wagging out the water and only a couple of liners i quickly tied a KD rig and put 2 of the pop-up versions on and managed to land this at 6lb 14oz.

After which it went dead again.
Good to get a bend in the rod though.

Give me one week and i will have a few carp on here

Done 3 hours up Stockton Resse with the mrs tonight 5.30-8.30pm. Fishing badly today according to a couple of lads fishing it. Fished peg 45 out of the strong SW wind and managed 2 using Weston Baits corn again in the margins.

Done 11.30-8.30 at Stockton Resse off peg 53 yesterday. Only managed 2 and lost 1 all day. Everyone seemed to struggle with not much being caught all over the lake carp wise. Getting ready to spawn in there now.

Slot limits don't bother us, in fact the catch is the best anyways. We are also dealing with the slot deals in Nebraska. Any information on the lake you think we would have the most success on walleyes, both in numbers and size it would be appreciated. I know this is no guarantee but we are just looking for a chance to enjoy the outdoors and maybe land a couple nice fish!

After seeing the weather was sorching last night decided to give Drayton a go over Bishops Bowls as didnt fancy my chances on there on a warm day.
Got there at 6.15am and was fishing on the sailing club side on the boards by 7am, although water so low was on the bank. Brought a big bag of chum mixer after being inspired by Postiedean in the Drayton Resse topic. Had them feeding but they kept shying from my hookbait. By the time i decided to use a fake chum mixer and change reel line the wind had changed and the carp had gone. Seemed like i was only feeding the ducks. Had a ciggy, a coffee and a think about moving onto the dam as lads doing the night near me had had 15 each by then in 20 hours.
Moved onto the dam near the sailing club couldnt get them going on thee mixers and with not bottom baits had to have a think. So made a soup using breadcrumbs and vitalin i had in the boot of my car and fished a zig rig underneath it. Casting at least once every 5 minutes to get the water cloudy i had my first run around 12 and proceed to lose it with a hook pull.
Managed to land a 6lber around 3pm but was only getting the odd liner from then on even though carp were continually rolling over the soup mix.
I started getting a few dog biscuits in the spod and after a while i set up on the bubble float and fake mixer. Between 5pm and 9pm i had these.

i also had 1 about 10lb.
Thought would have been really easy today with water level so low but hard work and in agony with sun burn and back pains from spodding and fighting those carp.
