Commons a little stunner mate.
Done the evening on Drayton after work 4-9 last night fishing dog biscuits. Hard in the wind but managed 5 upto about 14lb but lost 4. Once got them going they were havin it just lost as many as i landed.

After the social falling through i headed down Bishops Bowls on Friday and after sitting there for 10 minutes and the rain coming down harder decided to be a wimp and going home.
I got there at 9am and after a chat with Shawn and sdvice to bait up but not put a line in the water for a couple of hours. The SW wind was blowing into peg 1 so headed straight there. Baited up then set the bivvy , bedchair etc up and cast a line in about 12pm. 10 minutes later my margin rod screamed off and after a 20 minute battle because it went through a snag and i had to slack the line and wait for it to find its way out, i landed a 14lb 15oz mirror. On trying to take photo realised the batteries were dying so could set the timer. Baited again put my rods in my bivvy and headed into the village to get some more. Cast in and and hour later my other rod went. It to got into a under water snag. I managed to get it out and landed a very orange coloured common of 13lb 1oz. It went downhill from there. After each run i baited up after then kept the rods out the water for an hour before re-casting. This kept the runs coming. The next 6 runs resulted in 2 hook pulls, one at the net which was a low double mirror, a 1/4lb roach foul hooked through the shoulder and 3 snaps on the same rod on the same snag. Was on my rod in seconds each time but carp was already in it each time and line grated and snapped.
Gutted but will be back on there soon.........

gutted mate, least you managed a couple. Weathers a bit funny at the moment, that weekend i went to spring pools it got down to 4 degrees one night and I was shocked just how cold it was. Where has our summer time gone? Mind you I'll be complaining it's too hot i'm sure.
