2011 catch results

Done 9am til it poured with rain about 3pm today at Bishops Bowls. Spent 3 hours max with my rod in the water. Got to the swim and baited 2 spots then left it for an hour. Chucked my first rod in about 10am. Just after turning the alarm on my second rod after first chuck in my first rod screamed off and at the end of a 5 minute scrap landed this common at 10lb 8oz.

Baited again and left the rods out the water until 11.15am. Around 12pm my 2nd rod went and within 10 seconds of the fight it was round a snag and snapped my line.
Pulled the rods out the water again for an hour or so and just before 2pm my 1st rod went screaming off and after a 5 minute battle i landed a 5lb mirror which is getting posted up in the Bishops Bowl thread as its unofficially the smallest carp in the lake.
Would have stayed longer but for the rain and no brolly or bivvy and wearing jeans. Got a bit soaked and called it a day.

The bottom one just a touch over 18lb.

Yeah well spotted lad does not look as nice now starting to lose colour and weight i put it in there at 18lb and now its 14lb8oz. Also for the last 10 years everyone has refferd to scales as male but when i got it out on the mat there was eggs coming out of her so got to be a female, never had that happen before caught carp before and had sperm come out but never eggs. The first picture is a carp that i caught from the stock pond which is half the size of the main pond and weighed in at 15lb. Hope to go back there this week to fish in the stock pond with maggots as there is loads of roach in there could even be a record lol.......

Had a trip to my pond today and had these 3 carp the little one was off the pole on the maggot and the other two off the top on bread
