2011 catch results

Landed 7, lost 2 upto 14lbish yesterday evening 5-9pm at Drayton. Fished pop-ups over a spod at 40 yards with 1 rod. My swim was fizzing with bubbles as the Drayton carp were hoovering up the spod mix. Fishing of peg 94.

2 nights on spring pools saw me with my usual fish it seems. Flower again at 30lb 14oz. She seems to like me, caught her the last time I was there. Can't grumble, lovely fish and always happy to catch from there. Lost one previously aswell so it was the best consolation prize i've ever had!

Went out for a few hours Mackarel fishing on sunday afternoon while on holiday out of Looe harbour Cornwall. After being took to see some seals which i have never seen before i managed 5 mackarel in an hour which made an awesome dinner. Sea was calm but its hard work balancing while trying to fish in what i can only describe as a big rowing boat. I got soaked on the way out and although the skipper said the sea was calm i wouldnt want to be out there on rough seas.
Skipper also hand fed 2 Comerants on the way back to harbour. They flew in and landed next to the boat and come over on the way back from every trip. Good to see them in their natural enviroment rather than ripping apart our coarse fishing lakes!!

Done an hour and a half up Napton Brickyard this evening. Landed 1 about 3lb then just as i was going to call it a day the Grass Carp took my dog biscuit. After a 5 minute battle i landed it at about 11lb. I had no scales, no un-hooking matt and no camara with me as i was just looking to bosh out a few 3-4lbers. Carefully unhooked it and returned it before it could do any damage to itself. Always the way when you dont have a camara your bound to land a photo worthy carp. <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: -->

Had 2 out in an hour before the england game tonight from Napton Brickyard. On fake dog biscuits both around the 3-4 lb mark and both commons. <!-- s8-) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cool.gif" alt="" title="Cool" /><!-- s8-) -->

Sorry not been on for some time..Been busy working away..Well i back and didn't even get time to say hI to the wife..The rods in the car i did two days on the mill..
