Nice one lads keep them coming.

2 days blanked for the pike, 3 runs, hooked only one and lost it at the net! Things aren't going my way currently lol, it may be the new single barbless hook technique im using but im determined to do better with it as I hate deep hooking pike and they are so delicate really!

Anyone else been out? You feeling better now Gav mate?

Lost a pike yesterday right at the net, luckily i saw it and it was only a jack. Still a bit gutted tho! The single hook rig needs some tweaking me thinks... Walked down the canal this avo for 3 hours and managed 5 little zeds.

Back at work today but ankle far from alright but hopefully on the banks next week.
5 z's for 3 hours work isnt bad to mate.

Fished Brickhill at the weekend. This time decided that the course fishing would be my attack, fishing fine line, small hooks and floats. Fishing worm and maggots i managed around 60 odd roach and bream. Well happy

Hope so mate. Found a few deadbaits in the freezer so going to give it a fe whours on the canal today.

Done a couple of hours on the lock near The Two Boats pub. Fishing dead Roach and 1 rod managed my first Zander of the winter at about 2lb.
Think my Zander fishing on the canal this year is going to be mostly deadbaiting as you seem to get more takes than fishing with spinners.

Yea it's all I bother with now, spinning / lure fishing you end up catching more shopping bags and random car parts. With the deads the zeds do all the work aswell. <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: -->
