2012 Catch Results

Another member on the pool had one of the A team yesterday called "The Pig"@29.5lbs this will do over 30 later in the year..so hoping to get it then. one of the best fish i have ever seen..

Fished a hot and very packed Drayton yesterday. Fished 3 til just before the gates closed fishing dog biscuits on the top. Had 12 Carp the biggest just over 15lb. Was mental, Carp were swelling on the surface after about half hour until i left. Anyone who hasnt had a bit of fun down there yet this winter i can only advise to get up there before the winter sets in. Easy fishing and they fight like trains. <!-- s8-) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cool.gif" alt="" title="Cool" /><!-- s8-) -->

Set the alarm for 5.30 today and headed down Stockton Resse and was fishing for 6.15am. Fishing on the surface with my remaining chum mixer i had 2 and lost 1 both around 8lb mirrors. Ran out of bait by 8am so headed home for a brew or to before the pet shop opened and i could stock up on mixer.
Headed to Napton Brickyard for 10am and having both lakes to myself set up between them both feeding mixer into both. I waited and watched before noticing the Grass Carp in the smaller lake was joining in on the feed. After patiently waiting i had a few casts towards it and bang it took my bait but i missed it!!! <!-- s:evil: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_evil.gif" alt="" title="Evil or Very Mad" /><!-- s:evil: --> Not impressed with myself i kept feeding both lakes and after again waiting and waiting chucked out my bait onto the nose of this beauty. Dark Shadow as my mates and me know it as weighing in at 18lb 10oz.

Took a 15 minute battle with my heart in my mouth through out but was over the moon when landed it. Repeat capture from 2010 and put on 10oz since then.
After a few photos and carefully returning her i set about the double chasing the one in the smaller lake which i had also caught before at 11lbish.
Half an hour later i though i had the other grassie only to be suprised to land it and find it to be a Grassie i didnt know was in there at at a little less than 8lb.

Finished the day while waiting for my matt to dry with a 5lb common.
Quality day and my first ever double Grassie day

Yeah its the same fish as my profile picture. Was hoping it had gone over 20lb now but looks like its gonna be another few years until then.
