2012 Catch Results

Went down to Poole in Dorset. After fishing i met up with the mrs, my step daughter and her best mate crabbing in the quay. There were 10 Grey Mullet cruising around between 5 and 6lb. <!-- s:shock: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_eek.gif" alt=":shock:" title="Shocked" /><!-- s:shock: --> With no rod i hit the local tackle shop and had a word in there where i was unfortunatly put off by what they said in there. The mullet maybe close in but are very crafty and hard to catch so decided against spending cash on a rod, reel and bait.
Thinking of a day trip down there next month so going to read up about Mullet and maybe have a go after them as well as having a go on the Mackeral again.

Floating bread for the mullet is what I usually see the people on the fishing tv shows using. Used to watch fishing on the edge and stuff before and total fishing went to portsmouth breakwater once and fished for the mullet on floating bread but they do seem like a pain in the behind to catch. But that would attract me more to them instead of the suicidal mackerel and pollock

Hi Gent's not been on for some time as i have been busy on a new syindicate with realy old low stocked carp..now i have only for 52hrs on there and result i hit into one of the old girls @spawned out 26.5lbs..

Well done mate, is this still the same syndicate where you cant have photos on forums?

Im no longer fishing that pool as its had a major fish kill and most of the big fish have died, <!-- s:cry: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cry.gif" alt="" title="Crying or Very Sad" /><!-- s:cry: --> so i got lucky and joined the new water with a location ban only so i can post the fish <!-- s8-) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cool.gif" alt="" title="Cool" /><!-- s8-) -->

Spent 3 hours this afternoon chasing a Grass Carp at Napton Brickyard this afternoon. After moving my dog biscuits out the mouth of loads of other Carp it shyed away from my bait at the last millisecond 4 times before i gave up and landed a 4lb Common before going home. Oh well theres always next time. <!-- s8-) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cool.gif" alt="" title="Cool" /><!-- s8-) -->
