How much is the Leamington book to fish there?
Going pastie bashing myself tomorrow either at Stockton, Clattercote or Drayton Resse so may get a few half decent fish for a photo or 2.
book is 31 quid and has a good load of water to go at. I joined for some stretches of river to fish and maybe catch a barbel this year. But ryton pool has some nice tench to go after and some nice carp too and is a nice place to spend a day for 2.50 or free if you park in the lay by. Also gives you the right to fish jubilee which isnt too far from you either just off the a45 and that has a good number of carp in from what i understand.

Was chucking in a few chum mixer at a time all evening trying to get a few on the top and avoid the ducks and for the last hour before dark fished on the top resulting in losing 2.
Had 1 last cast on the method at dusk casting back to the same place infront of peg 1 and 30 seconds after putting my rod down it screamed off and i landed this 16lb 3oz common. Glad i decided to have 1 last cast.

Headed out for the third day on the trot looking for those tench again, today didn't have one at all this afternoon. Managed 3 carp though, 2 commons about 10lbish and one mirror of 15lb on the button. So not a bad afternoon

All the time mate.
You picked a nice day for a fish today and seem that the average stamp of carp in there is at least doubles going on what you have had so far.

Yea, something about the place makes me want to keep going back. I really like it there, it's not an easy water but the fish are quality and theres a couple of 30's in there somewhere apparently. I hope you get those 20's mate!
