Went for a walk round today. Seen that there are now around 15 pegs on the scuba lake where the owner has dug it out. Also a peg available on jet ski lake on the road in.

Also theres a specimen carp 48 hour pairs match there on 21st May. £100 per team and theres a cash prize for winners of biggest carp and biggest haul.
Anyone entering it???

Sorry late report, I fished the friday only untill saturday night. As i had a date with stella and the Mayweather/Mosley fight.

Got the rods out by about 7 in the greenhill lake and had a tench by about 8. So decided to change to big baits. The bird life is a real nightmare on there Coots, grebes.morehens and the dreaded tufties. <!-- s:x --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_mad.gif" alt="" title="Mad" /><!-- s:x -->

In the end i had a bream just scraping double figures and lost a carp at long range. I had a good walk round and shaun(the new owner and a top bloke) has done a shit load of work already, i can see this place turning in to a top fishery.

Agreed about new owner. He hasnt talked rubbish and has started doing what he said he would.

Latest on catches in Mitre lake

in the last 5 weeks there have been 11 different 20s the best a 25lb mirror common at 23lb 5oz. The fishing has been hard at the weekends but very good mon/tues when the lake goes a bit quieter.last weekend 3 angling coaches fished it and fed very aggresivly with pellets and fished solid bags over the top and all caught at least 6 fish each up to 16lb.
It seems that keep the bait going in keeps the carp interested and the runs coming.

Went for a look round this afternoon. Place looks cracking Proper Carp lake the mitre pool looks now with not too many swims and all big and bark chipped so stop it getting sloppy in the mud when its wet.
Gonna have to do a night when back from holiday. Cracking work done by baliff keep it up

only 3 one repeat capture at 22lb and one two tone common at 22.8lb and one mirror at 21lb two of these fish have come from the swim to the left of the bay on sticky baits bloodworm boiles with the same pellets in a bag at around 25mts over a nice clear area .there have been a few fish to be caught during the day which is a improvement on last month.the first 2 swims in the car park have been fishing well fishing in 12 ft of water .greenhills is doing well with not many anglers blanking but you have to either do 48hrs so you can get some bait in or bait up for a couple of days leading up to you fishing it.

Iam up there for the weekend. Gonna have a bash at the green hill. Anybody welcome to pop in.
