Had good chat with Shawn today and he has told me his plans including stock ponds which one hes digging out now (lodge pool), Keeping only the fastest growing carp out of them for the mitre and Greenhills once they are 10-12lb, Limestone gravel along the tracks round the lakes which will help with the mud situation. Removing all the slow growing old carp out of mitre as eventually he wants that lake with no fish smaller than around 15lb.
I do believe this will be one of the best carp venues in the region in the next few years and hearing how fast some of the carp have put on weight since being put in Mitre there could be 30s in there sooner rather than later.

had a look round today , looks like its going in the right direction didn't speak to the owner but a couple of the lads who were there fishing had nothing but good to say about him . definately worth wetting a line methinks .
Any idea what he is doing with the blue pool?

Not part of the complex any more. At one point think that he was on about trying to buy the fish out of it but it would be near impossible with the depths of it. Some corkers swimming around in there.

Beautiful mate. Used to fish the flat bank up tight against the cliffs on a ledge. Cast it to top of the cliff then walk round and drop the bait on the ledge while my mate kept the slack out the line. Once it settled on the ledge slack the line off a bit again. There were a couple of very big fully scaled mirrors in there to. Used to lie down and peer over the cliff and watch them feed off the ledge. One of my favourite sights in carp fishing ever.
