Finally the carp are starting to feed, 5 different carp to 15lb come out in last 4 days.

Thats wetting the whistle, got work for the next 10 days or so but going to have to get on it for a bit of pike and carp action soon.

hi Gav popped down yesterday for an afternoon session first time since all the new work..must say its looking good..looking forwards to seeing how it comes on in the summer

News from baliff.....

[i:3k7a3t89]At last the carp are waking up in the Mitre pool, with a number of lager catches in the last week.

Last night one angler had 2 x 20lb and 2 x mid teens from peg 13 on cell boilies over a bed of pellets they all came in a busy 4 hr spell in the night which seems to be the best time at the moment [/i:3k7a3t89]

Greenhills lake has been stocked on friday with 26 carp from 10lb to 23lb 12oz. The baliffs advice at present for this lake is that he would suggest fishing the island swims on greenhills using floats so you can vary the depths your fishing the best time of day is 10 -3pm . If your using a carp rod too I would fish the swim looking at the house and cast to your right in 10ft of water and put some bait in the fish are starving after such a long cold spell.

Cant get enough of there and going to be on it more than anywhere else this summer.

yea I was wondering if he was still running piking now it's march. I'd like to do one or two sessions in the next couple of weeks on greenhills. So the float fishing info was regarding pike? I might go tomorrow maybe aswell and give it a bash

Can pike fish it until March 31st Sent the baliff a pm on another forum to try and get him on here so he can keep us updated with all thats going on up there.

gave it a few hours on greenhills today after the pike, had a dropped run but no other signs of life. Fished the last peg on the right as you come in on the road. Gonna head back next one day in the week , next week.

By the time got out of bed and sorted stuff out it was nearly 1pm so didnt go. Cant seem to find my forceps either so no way was piking without them i like my fingers Next day off is on Friday so heading down there all day with Budweed and going to sort some new forceps out ready for it.
